Important info before applying: Strict Prerequisites & Safeguarding
BUFC is fully committed to the safety and emotional well-being of our minor players. Before filling out the application below, please ensure you meet our non-negotiable compliance criteria:
- Clean Criminal Record (Mandatory):
Under Section 110 of the South African Children’s Act and club safety policies, we legally cannot—and will not—hire or engage any individual with a criminal record. Background checks are mandatory during onboarding. - Safeguarding Compliance:
All incoming coaches must agree to abide by our strict Child Safeguarding Policy and the “Rule of Two” (never being alone out of sight with a minor player). You will also be required to obtain a Child Protection / Safeguarding Certificate during onboarding. - Reliable Transport:
We highly prefer and look favorably upon coaches who have their own vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Managing a team without reliable, independent transport is exceptionally difficult, and coaches are frequently required to assist with transport for players to away fixtures. - Code of Conduct Alignment:
You will be expected to maintain absolute professionalism, arrive early and prepared, and entirely abstain from alcohol, tobacco, or vaping prior to or during any club duties.
