A New Chapter for Ballito United: A Vision for 2026 and Beyond
🚨An important message from the chairman on our exciting vision for 2026 and beyond ⚽
Thank you to all the parents, players, coaches and families who are part of our club, past and present (and future). Your support, time and commitment to the kids and to football are what make this community so special.
I would like to share a bit about the vision for the club, the direction we are taking, and some improvements that are coming.
At its core, our vision is about building and strengthening the roots that the club was originally founded on.
Ballito United has always been about more than just football. It is about community, family, inclusion, development and creating an environment where kids can grow — both as players and as people.
We want to continue building a club where:
- Every child feels welcome and included,
- Players from all backgrounds have opportunities to develop, including talented players from disadvantaged communities,
- Sportsmanship, respect & integrity are part of everything we do and
- Families feel part of a football community, not just a team.
At the same time, while we create a fun and supportive environment, we will never compromise on excellence on the field.
This means continuing to focus on: Quality coaching Player development, Strong team culture, Hard work and discipline.
Changes and Improvements:
There are also a few important improvements we are introducing to strengthen the club moving forward:
- Bringing practices back to Ballito, strengthening our Ballito connection & reach.
- Improving communication with parents, so families always feel informed and involved.
- Transparency with finances, ensuring funds are secured for the benefit of the players and the club.
- Investing in coach development, which has set us apart from other clubs and one of the most important parts of junior football.
- Introducing fun-based sessions & activities during the season to keep football enjoyable.
Club Leadership Structure:
To help move the club forward in a structured way: Daniel Skaftouros – Marketing and Communications, James White – Operations, Finance and Compliance & myself -Sponsorships, coach development, football development and overall club management. Together our goal is to build a club that is well organised, sustainable, and focused on long-term player development.
Community Events:
We will also be introducing regular open days and fun days for players, parents and the community to help build a stronger club spirit and bring everyone together.
In closing, our goal is simple:
To build a club our players are proud to represent, our parents are proud to be part of, and our community believes in.
